Veksiege is one of the main city in the land, the center of transaction because of its great accessibility. People were busy about everything, this is where money became the center of attention, where rich people try to earn more and poor people try to make a living. The town itself never sleeps the guards are shifted 3 times a day, the doors were always open, and the lights never turned off. When the war started the government instructed military troops to arrest suspected rebels and terrorists. Veksiege then became a fortress, security is very strict no one can pass with out the identity band made by the government itself. From Veksiege people can go to other places by renting a wagon or setting sail in the ocean, that's why people are eager to visit the main city.
En was born in the town of Veksiege, his father grew up in the main city and got assigned when he became the head general. En's mother is from small of town of Kui, the farthest small village in the north from Veksiege she is the town's trade representative that's why she is always in Veksiege. When the war started Veksiege wasn't able to protect itself from the terrorists, they took the main city killing all the soldiers and imprisoning the women and children it was the death of Veksiege. While the main city is in the hands of the terrorists, En and his mother reached the gates of Edtwille.
Before going through a journey En took time to think about the future, he knew that in Veksiege there are higher education that can help him grow, because there are no higher education in Edtwille that's one reason why he leave and he wants Edtwille to be proud of him someday. Another reason is to find his destiny, to help people specially those in need. Eventhough he never heard about Liu, his hope never fades he will try everything to find him.
The night before he left, En saw a man in his dreams walking towards the gate of Veksiege that's why he decide to leave Edtwille because he knew his destination. In Veksiege you got to choose in many branches of higher education, from medical fields, political fields, military, business or even wizardry and incantations. People uses education, power based on financial resources or political level, physical strenght and magic for them to survive.
En started to walk north, its a 2 day walk north from Edtwille to reach Veksiege that night En reached the small town of Hindt, where people stop by to reach Veksiege. En decided to stay there and continue his journey tomorrow.
At midnight someone knocked on the door, En opened it and saw a woman crying. The woman named Ana told En that his son is missing and ask him for help, En accepted her request and begin searching for the child. The first place they check is the whole town, the road and then the woods. Hope was starting to fade but En remain focused on searching, as they walk through the deeper part of the woods they saw the child sleeping beside a bear.
En were scared but he realizes what he needs to do, he sneak as he try to get the child. He was successful retrieving the child but then the bear woke up, En and the bear stared to each other the bear backs off and leave.
When the sun rises En is ready to continue his journey, Ana then thanks him for saving her son and gave him a pass to Veksiege. Before leaving Hindt En went to the woods and feed the bear, even if the bear can't speak En can felt it.
En realizes that his visit to Hindt, he earned a little bravery that can be useful for his long journey. He continue to walk north and hope to reach Veksiege before night, the pass Ana gave him will be an essential thing for En because Veksiege only allows those who have pass to enter the main city.
En don't know what can happen to Veksiege but he is excited what can he do or learn in the main city. He needs to learn a lot about the world and the reality, to do that he thinks confronting Veksiege will be a way.
